Larry Dale Carpenter, Jr was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, to Larry Carpenter and Debbie Owings. He is the grandson of former Tarrant County Sheriff, Don Carpenter. He is a product of Boswell High School in the Eagle Mountain School District of Fort Worth. Larry continued his education studying journalism at Tarleton State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 2010.

Larry has traveled abroad extensively to help serve communities across the globe. Larry’s passion for helping took him to Christchurch, New Zealand, following the catastrophic earthquake that hit the region in 2011, where he aided in the reconstruction efforts to rebuild the community. He then worked abroad teaching English for three years.

Working in foreign countries helped further cultivate his appreciation for the freedoms that the United States Constitution provides to all Americans. Not long after that experience, Larry moved back to Tarrant County to help serve the community of his upbringing.
